The Homebody Gift Guide
Some people have absolutely mastered the art of staying home, and I respect that.
Their ideal evening involves comfortable clothes, a good drink, and absolutely no reason to leave the house. They have a favorite spot on the sofa, a very specific way they like their coffee, and probably an ongoing list of things they want to do around the house.
Personally, I think there's something wonderful about being perfectly content at home. Especially when you've made it a place you genuinely enjoy spending time in.
So, for the homebody on your gift list, I'd skip anything that requires making plans and focus on making their favorite place even better.
I've included a few of my favorite finds below. Click on any of the photos to shop the item or find out more.
A Really Nice Throw Blanket
There's a difference between having a blanket and having the blanket everyone fights over on the sofa. I look for something soft, generously sized, and pretty enough to leave draped over a chair. A beautiful throw is one of those gifts that's almost impossible to have too many of, especially during the colder months.
A Mug They'll Reach for Every Morning
Everyone has a favorite mug, and I think that's reason enough to give someone a new contender. I love interesting shapes, pretty patterns, and ceramics that feel substantial in your hands. Pair it with their favorite coffee or tea if you want to make a little gift out of it.
Home Fragrance & Diffusers
I'm particular about how a home smells, so I understand why this can be a slightly risky gift. But if you know someone's taste, a beautiful reed diffuser or a Pura fragrance system can be such a nice addition to their space. I especially like reed diffusers for entryways and bathrooms, where a little fragrance goes a long way without anyone having to remember to light a candle.
I think the best homebody gifts are the ones that become part of someone's everyday routine. The blanket they reach for every evening, the mug they use before they're fully awake, or the fragrance that makes their house smell like home.
None of these gifts require a special occasion to enjoy them, which is probably what I like most about them.
And really, if someone has already perfected the art of staying home, the least we can do is help them do it comfortably.
