Airport Trail feels farther from town than it is. Sandy, pine-needle paths wind through tall trees in a series of easy loops, from under a mile to about two miles, and it's rarely crowded, especially on weekdays.

Expect a few boggy spots after rain. There are picnic tables near the small lot and waste bags at the trailhead.
