The dog park sits on Bayonet Farm, a 135-acre township-owned property with historic buildings, open fields, and hiking trails. Dedicated in May 2021 in honor of the late Alexander Ching, funded through the Alexander Ching Memorial Fund, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that continues to maintain the park. A one-acre space surrounded by a 6-foot chain-link fence, with "small paws" and "big paws" sections so dogs can still see and interact across the divide. The ground is a thick layer of decomposed granite chosen for durability and paw comfort, with natural grass areas too
