Asbury Park Dog Beach offers one of the Jersey Shore’s best opportunities for dogs to experience the ocean. Licensed and supervised dogs may be off leash within the designated area when no seals are present.

From May 16 through September 14, dogs may use the beach only between 6:00 p.m. and 8:30 a.m. From September 15 through May 15, dogs are permitted throughout the day. The boardwalk also opens to leashed dogs during the off-season.

Access the dog beach from Deal Lake Drive or the northern end of Fisherman’s Parking Lot. The Eighth Avenue boardwalk entrance should not be used
