The annual event starts with a free festival on the Great Lawn, where dogs can join in contests and activities while you wander through booths and meet local rescues. One of the highlights is the Doggie Adoption Showcase, with adoptable dogs getting their moment on the red carpet.

After the festival, the day moves inside the ballpark for a Jersey Shore BlueClaws game, and this is one of the rare times your dog gets to come along. Even if baseball is not usually your thing, it is a fun excuse to spend a few hours out with your dog, meet plenty of other local dog people, and see ShoreTown Ballpark taken over by an unusually furry crowd.
