From October 1 through April 15, the entire shoreline opens up for leashed dogs to explore. Because it sits right on the bay, the water is completely flat and calm, which is perfect if you have a dog who gets a little spooked by crashing ocean waves but still loves to splash around in the shallows. It is a beautiful, crisp place for a long walk, and if you time your visit right, you'll catch some of the most incredible, unobstructed sunsets on the island.
