The Black River & Western runs historic trains through the Hunterdon countryside, a round trip of about ninety minutes with a stop at Ringoes Station, where there are restrooms, a gift shop, and a small museum.

Leashed, well-behaved dogs may ride the Black River Limited at the conductor's discretion. The Black River Limited runs most weekends through the summer, and themed trains run through the year for pumpkins, Easter, and Christmas.
