Best time to visit Year Round

Most shore towns close their beaches to dogs for the summer. Brigantine keeps the stretch north of 14th Street North open to leashed dogs year round, which makes it a standout for a warm-weather beach day.

The sand here is wide and far less crowded than the guarded beaches to the south. Park along the seawall, cross over, and head north. The rest of Brigantine's beaches reopen to dogs in the off season.
