Central Park covers 843 acres of lawns, woodland, lakes, and paths in the middle of Manhattan. From 6 AM to 9 AM and again from 9 PM to 1 AM, dogs can be off leash in designated areas, and early mornings here are a daily ritual for city dog owners.

The rest of the day, dogs must be leashed. Some landscapes are always off limits to dogs, so follow posted signs.
