Colonial Park is a gorgeous 685-acre park with an arboretum, rose garden, perennial garden, fragrance and sensory garden, fitness trails, fishing ponds, and a fenced-in dog park. The gardens themselves are the real draw, especially the van der Goot Rose Garden and the daffodil and azalea displays in spring. The paved paths connect to the Delaware and Raritan Canal trail if you want to extend your walk.
