Connolly Park sits below street level off Centennial Boulevard, which keeps it quieter than its surroundings suggest. The dog run has two enclosed areas, one for large dogs and one for small.

A paved walking and biking path loops the park past open fields, gazebos, and playgrounds, so there is room for a leashed lap before or after playtime.
