Feltville was built in the 1840s as a mill town, later became a summer resort, and now stands mostly empty along a quiet lane in the Watchung Reservation. The self-guided tour passes worker cottages, the restored church and general store, Masker's Barn, and a small cemetery reached by trail.

Interpretive signs explain the history along the way. Dogs are welcome on leash, and the reservation's hiking trails start right from the village.
