Durand Park is one of Freehold Township's low-key spots, nature trails, benches, picnic tables, and a small pond that's popular for bass fishing. It's more of a "have the place to yourself" kind of park than a busy family destination, which makes it a nice option if your dog does better without a lot of commotion. Leashed dogs are welcome on the trails throughout the park. Just keep in mind the township does not allow dogs at special events or organized youth sports games, so check the calendar if you're visiting during a scheduled event.
