Eagle Rock Reservation sits on the ridge of the Watchung Mountains, where a stone wall overlook takes in the full New York City skyline. The Essex County September 11th Memorial stands along the wall.

Behind the overlook, lawns give way to hilly wooded trails that make for a good workout. Deer are common along the entrance road.
