Goffle Brook Park stretches through Hawthorne with the brook running through much of the property, giving the park a mix of shady waterside walks, wide lawns, and busier recreation areas. There are paths along the water, a duck pond, playgrounds, picnic spots, sports fields, basketball courts, and outdoor fitness equipment spread throughout the park. Dogs can explore the main park on leash or head to the fenced dog park for some off-leash time. The historic John W. Rea House, now home to the Passaic County Arts Center, also sits within the park.
