Griggstown Canoe and Kayak Rental puts paddlers on a flat, sheltered stretch of the D&R Canal, lined with trees and busy with herons, egrets, and turtles. The still water makes it a forgiving place to try paddling with a dog.

Staff help with launching and landing, and a dry bag for phones and keys is included. The canal towpath runs alongside for a walk afterward.
