Hickory Run's Boulder Field is a National Natural Landmark and the largest field of its kind in the Appalachians, with sandstone boulders up to 30 feet long left behind by the last Ice Age.

Hawk Falls, a 25-foot waterfall, sits at the end of a short trail off Route 534. Dogs are welcome on leash throughout the park, except at the swimming beach.
