Best time to visit September through April

Higbee Beach is the quiet side of Cape May. Trails of dirt, grass, and sand lead from the parking area through woods and fields until the sound of waves gives way to a long, empty stretch of Delaware Bay shoreline.

It is a state wildlife management area, known for migrating birds and butterflies in fall. Dogs are welcome in the off season, and dolphins are sometimes visible from the beach.
