Jersey Shore Live Steam Railroad is a volunteer-built miniature railroad tucked into the woods in Little Egg Harbor. Members run scale trains along a long loop of track, and they're happy to talk trains with anyone who stops by.

There's a two-story platform for watching the trains, picnic tables, and a few trails around the property, so it's an easy, unusual outing with your dog.
