John C. Bartlett, Jr. County Park is an especially nice pick for dogs who love the water. A paved path winds around the edge of the park with wide-open views of Barnegat Bay, giving you an easy waterfront walk without needing to head onto a trail. The best part is the southern shoreline, where dogs can get their paws in the bay and cool off after a walk. There are grassy areas and picnic spots along the way too, so it’s an easy place to linger
