Kittatinny Valley State Park is centered on Lake Aeroflex, the deepest natural lake in New Jersey, with a web of trails through woods and fields around it. Benches and picnic spots are scattered throughout.

The Sussex Branch and Paulinskill Valley rail trails both pass through, offering miles of wide, level walking on old railroad beds.
