Liberty State Park spans 1,212 acres opposite Liberty and Ellis Islands, the most visited state park in NJ. Leashed dogs are welcome on the paved Liberty Walk along the Hudson, the loop trail through open fields and picnic areas, and the natural-area birding trail, but not in playgrounds, picnic areas, or buildings. The historic CRRNJ Terminal anchors the north end.
