Lola's European Cafe sits in the historic Steinbach Building on Cookman Avenue in downtown Asbury Park. Named for the owner's mother, it started as a gelato shop and grew into a cafe and bar with espresso, wine, cheese boards and creative cocktails, including dessert martinis made with gelato.

Paninis are served until 6 PM, and the gelato case and bar stay open late. Dogs are welcome on the outdoor patio, a favorite spot for sipping an espresso martini and watching the Cookman Avenue crowd go by.
