Maclearie Park sits on the banks of the Shark River in Belmar. A short walking trail with historical markers runs along the water, and there are picnic areas with public grills, tennis courts, a playground, restrooms and a small river beach at the east end.

It's a favorite for sunset picnics. People also fish here, launch kayaks and paddleboards, and scuba dive from the shore.
