Mount Mitchill sits 266 feet above sea level in the hills of Atlantic Highlands, with clear views across Sandy Hook Bay toward Sandy Hook and the Manhattan skyline. The park itself is only 12 acres and is easy to walk, with two viewing areas, paved paths, benches, picnic tables, and a playground. It is also home to Monmouth County’s 9/11 Memorial, where a timeline path leads to an eagle sculpture holding a beam from the World Trade Center.
