Mountain Lakes is a short drive from downtown Princeton and feels much farther away. Trails loop around the lakes and through the woods, connecting often enough that a walk can run twenty minutes or well over an hour.

Most routes are gentle, with a few rockier stretches. Running creeks along the way are a hit with dogs, and turtles sun themselves by the water.
