Sayen Gardens is a bit of a hidden gem, 30 acres built around the collection of world traveler Frederick Sayen, with plants gathered from China, Japan, and England over a century ago. Walking trails wind past koi ponds, a waterfall at Labaw Pointe, an umbrella fountain, and gazebos tucked into the Temple Gardens section. Spring is the standout season, with over 250,000 flowering bulbs plus azaleas, rhododendrons, and dogwoods, and the annual Azalea Festival around Mother's Day draws quite a crowd.
