Swartswood State Park wraps around Swartswood Lake, with paved walkways through the picnic area and more rugged trails, like Spring Lake and Duck Pond, through the woods. The main pavilion faces west over the water for sunset.

Fall is the quiet season here, calm and uncrowded. Camping is available near the lake.
